Polyester pre-spinning and PET masterbatch applications:

(1) PET masterbatch is easy to use

Pre-spinning coloring does not have any special requirements for polyester production and fiber use, the original spinning equipment, and the existing production process. Especially when polyester is blended with other fibers, the use of polyester fiber not only reduces the dyeing process, but also makes it possible to interlace fibers and polyester blends that are not suitable for high temperature and high pressure dyeing conditions and to facilitate the pre-design of the fabric. Therefore, the pre-spinning coloring can be said to be a dyeing factory without investment, and it is one of the shortcuts to solve the "bottleneck" of dyeing and finishing with advanced technology.

(2) PET masterbatch costs are low:

The cost of dyeing is the consumption of energy and auxiliaries. Pre-spinning reduces the dyeing process of printing and dyeing equipment and multiple fibers or fabrics, removes the dyeing auxiliaries, and combines each pigment molecule into the target product, which virtually eliminates the dye discharge and reduces the consumption of raw materials. It avoids environmental pollution, reduces the cost of dyeing, and saves huge pollution control costs. It is reported that “polyester pre-spinning and fiber-forming dyeing compares 100 tons of raw liquid dyed polyester staple fiber, saving 10,000 tons of water, saving The gas consumption is 16,500 cubic meters, saving 56,000 kWh of electricity." "Fiber-fiber dyeing can produce about 10 tons of wastewater per 100 kilograms of product." According to the survey, the average dyeing fee for dyeing is about 4,000 yuan, and the coloring of the masterbatch before dyeing is only about 1,200 yuan. It can be seen that the pre-spinning coloring not only saves a huge amount of pollution control cost, but also the coloring cost is only dyed. One-third, that is, the cost of dyeing is more than three times higher than the coloring of the stock solution.

(3) PET color masterbatch has high coloring quality

Conventional dyeing is mainly carried out under high temperature and high pressure conditions using disperse dyes as described above. However, due to the production of fibers and physical and chemical treatment, it is difficult to ensure the uniform distribution of the crystal structure and the amorphous region of the internal structure. The crystal form, dispersibility and dyeing rate of the dye are generally different, so the fabric tends to be easily produced during the dyeing process. Dyeing defects such as chromatic aberration, color spots, and color flowers. Pre-spinning coloring is to accurately measure the coloring agent and the natural color section before spinning, uniformly mix, melt-filter and then draw the wire, so the fiber is dyed evenly, regardless of the batch size, the uniformity of color can be kept unchanged. There is also no unacceptable color difference between batches. From the structure of the pre-spinning colored fiber, the colorant and the polyester form a uniform solid solution in the surface, and the light fastness, washing resistance, rubbing resistance and the like are far higher than conventional dyeing.

(4) Good environmental protection and good health

The colorant used for pre-spinning coloring is a solvent dye, which does not contain a banned structure and composition and does not cause harm to the human body. At the same time, since the dye used for pre-spinning can withstand the high temperature above 300 °C, there is no gas and waste water discharge during the spinning process, and the dye utilization rate is increased to 100%. Therefore, the masterbatch coloring can be said to be an environmentally friendly and healthy product.

(5) Conducive to the functional development of polyester fiber

With the development of science and technology and the improvement of people's living standards, apparel fabrics are increasingly developing in the direction of function, diversification and flexibility. Antibacterial, antistatic, flame retardant, far infrared, anti-ultraviolet and other functional fibers have been successfully developed. Functional fabrics such as thermal underwear, flame retardant, antibacterial and anti-ultraviolet fabrics have been put on the market, enriching people's lives, all of which are achieved by melt spinning; therefore, masterbatch not only opens the way for polyester fiber coloring, but also It opens the way to giving new properties to polyester fibers.
