For example, carbon black can control the curing reaction of polyester plastics, so carbon black material cannot be added to polyester.

Due to the high molding processing temperature of plastic products, the color should not decompose and discolor under the condition of molding heating temperature. Generally, the heat resistance of inorganic pigments is better, and the heat resistance of organic pigments and dyes is poor, which should be paid enough attention in the selection of color varieties.

(2) The dispersion and coloring power of the color material should be good. When the color dispersion is not uniform, it will affect the appearance of the product. When the coloring force of the color material is poor, the amount of color material will increase and the material cost will increase. The dispersion and coloring power of the same color in different resins are not the same, so attention should be paid to this when selecting color.

The particle size of the color material is also related to dispersion, and the smaller the particle size of the color material, the better the dispersion and the stronger the coloring power.

(3) Other properties of the color should be understood, such as for plastic products used in food and children's toys, the color should be non-toxic; For plastic products used in electrical appliances, color materials with good electrical insulation should be selected; For outdoor plastic products, color materials with good weathering resistance should be selected.
