1. Product introduction
Carrier-free high-concentration carbon black masterbatch has the characteristics of high black, high brightness, high temperature resistance, low dosage, odorless, and does not affect product performance when used for coloring. Because there is no carrier, it has excellent compatibility and dispersibility in the processing of polyolefin and engineering plastics.
It is suitable for the coloring of PA, PC, PP, HIPS, PS, AS, ABS, POM, PBT, PC/ABS, PC/PET, PPS, PE products, and has an auxiliary effect on avoiding glass fiber exposure. This product complies with FDA standards and has passed SGS and ROHS testing.

Carrier-free is actually relatively speaking. There is no carrier-free masterbatch. What we call carrier-free is to replace the carrier resin with microcrystalline wax, dispersant, and other additives. Carrier-free black masterbatch uses microcrystalline wax as the main carrier and adds high-performance additives. Through advanced technology, the carbon black content of the finished masterbatch can be as high as 70%.
Advantages of carrier-free color masterbatch:
The emergence of carrier-free masterbatch is a miracle of the industry. The traditional concept believes that as long as it is a black masterbatch, there must be plastic as the base material to make it into particles. However, the product does not contain plastic base materials, so the fatal effects on physical properties caused by the carrier are excluded, such as incompatible peeling of physical properties, reduced impact resistance, and excessive increase in MI. Therefore, it can be combined with a variety of materials without affecting physical properties, especially in injection molding plants. If a variety of black masterbatches are required, it will cause cost and waste in inventory, because this advantage will obtain better physical properties on the one hand, and reduce costs on the other hand. Overhead. Such as the outsourcing of inventory, color masterbatch, and round-trip shipping. Carbon black has low particle size and high concentration. Therefore, the small amount of addition can minimize the impact of carbon black on physical properties. And the cost of use is relatively reasonable, and will not cause unnecessary costs. Good dispersion, no overlap, no precipitation, no migration type. Therefore, the coloring effect is good, non-conductive, and the blending effect of external additives such as fillers and flame retardants is the best and most stable.
For black products, transparent ABS has relatively strict requirements for black masterbatch. In this comparison sample, we used South Korea’s LG Chemical TR552 with a masterbatch ratio of 1%. The coloring effect of ABS is very good. The brightness is very good, and there is no problem of poor compatibility of color masterbatch such as flow marks. In the transparent ABS color plate, the blue shade of UN2014 is more obvious. From the comparison of flash and thin edges, the concentration and dispersion performance of the two color masterbatches are comparable.
